THE SECRET MERIDIANS |
|
The Adventures of the Descendants and Avatars of Davis Gray |
|
|
|
The Secret Meridians is a series of science fiction novels about the electronic
avatars of an elderly man who, just before his death in 1999, was the subject
of a secret experiment in which his comatose mind was transcribed to a
quantum computer. Enabled to expand his consciousness into the vast expanse
of the internet, he gains control of it and attempts to guide humanity’s rise
from 21st century dysfunction toward the ultimate glory of a great
interstellar civilization. As an artificial intellect with godlike power, he
causes the creation of a clan of immortal androids (avatars of his own mind)
to act as his key agents. |

|
G-2’s “Pacific
American House of Daedalus” was officially established as a branch of the
“American House of Gray”. All the other American Grays not directly related
to Davis Gray got around the restriction by coupling “Gray” with some other
nomen. The “American” or “Pacific American” nomen referred to the political
nationality of the founding ancestor. Thus there was an unrelated “English
House of Gray” which had been established in the Kingdom of England, and an
unrelated “Canadian House of Gray” and an unrelated “European House of Gray”
which was established under the new European Federation |
